EAST COAST RAIL LINK (ECRL) PROJECTS

Preliminary Design For East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) Project Ch 0 To Ch 220 (8 Station) - TIA

This study is a preliminary design study for the ECRL station from Ch 0 to Ch 220 which covers the total length of 220 km. The main objective of this study is to carry out the transport planning and facility assessment for major East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) stations in Malaysia and preparation of Traffic Impact Assessment to be submitted to Project Proponent and Authorities. The main things that have been focused on is the impact of the road system to the station and evaluation for the road and junction performance. The proposed mitigation and traffic dispersal scheme has been imposed to each of the stations.

Preliminary Traffic Impact Assessment Studies for Transit-Oriented Developments (TOD) at Kota Bharu, Bukit Besar, Kota Sas, Bentong, Serendah, Port Klang and ITT Gombak for the East Coast Rail Link Project

This study is a feasibility study to determine the suitability of TOD development at the 8 stations along Kelantan to Gombak area which covers around 600 acres in total. The vision of this TOD development is to have a model town that enhances the livability of the neighborhood living. Our responsibility for this study is to identify all pertinent traffic issues which comprise of evaluation on the road and junction performance as well as proposed traffic circulation and mitigation for the redevelopment project which incorporates TOD elements.

Ridership Study for 3 Stations : Serendah, Kapar and Puncak Alam for the East Coast Rail Link Project (ECRL)

This project is a feasibility study to determine the ridership of the 3 stations comprises Serendah, Kapar and Puncak Alam. The overall alignment of the ECRL is 640 km. The 3 stations of Serendah, Kapar and Puncak Alam is around 40km.  The main objective of this study is to determine the passenger volumes likely to be generated by the proposed ECRL stations. A low case, base case and the high case with 3 option testing has been developed to forecast the ridership for these 3 stations.

PRoposed EAST COAST RAIL LINK (ECRL) extension from gombak to port klang and kota bharu to pengkalan kubor (ECRL Phase 2)

This project is a feasibility study that studies the environmental impact on the extension line of ECRL from Gombak to Port Klang and Kota Baru to Pengkalan Kubor. The overall alignment of the ECRL is 640 km and for this study, the scope is cover for about 150 km. The main objective of this study comprises of preparation of the Traffic Impact Assessment (TIA) study for the EIA to scrutinise the existing traffic situation along the proposed alignment, to study the impacts during construction and subsequently the traffic impact on the surrounding road network system during the operation of the ECRL
