Kajian Trafik Bagi Jalan Lapangan Terbang Subang Lama Daripada Persimpangan Lebuhraya Persekutuan Sehingga Persimpangan Jalan Sungai Buloh, Daerah Petaling, Selangor

The Government of Selangor is highly concerned on the issue of exacerbated traffic congestion problem during peak hours along Jalan Lapangan Terbang Subang Lama, i.e. the stretch from Federal Highway to Jalan Sungai Buloh Junction. Therefore, the Government of Selangor through Bahagian Jalan of Jabatan Kerja Raya Selangor is desirous to carry out the project of Kajian Trafik Bagi Jalan Lapangan Terbang Subang Lama Daripada Persimpangan Lebuhraya Persekutuan Sehingga Persimpangan Jalan Sungai Buloh, Daerah Petaling, Selangor.

The objectives of this traffic study are to investigate the contributing factors that cause bad traffic congestion during peak hours at the site. It is also to identify the bottleneck locations and congested junctions with low levels of service along with Jalan Lapangan Terbang Subang Lama. On top of that, this study will also propose and appraise mitigation strategies to alleviate the congestion problem. There are 12 junctions, 3 interchanges, and 8 screen-lines that have been analysed and 10 junctions are proposed to be upgraded to cater to the future demand. The big issue for this study is the congested issue at Lebuhraya Persekutuan. This study has proposed upgrading works to provide total traffic solutions for the entire Klang Valley.
